St. John Neumann's Early Crusader Program provides a nurturing and challenging environment for your child to grow emotionally, academically, socially, physically, and spiritually. Our curriculum is designed to foster a love for learning and help your child become confident in their own abilities and relationship with Jesus.
Our teachers set the stage for lifelong learning. They are dedicated and energetic fully qualified Early Childhood Educators. Our teachers participate in on-going professional development opportunities to stay connected with educational trends and to adapt to the changing needs of our children and families.
Our Early Crusader Academy offers two different classes: 3 year old classroom and 4 year old classroom. Taught by Certified Teachers!
Your child must be three years old and potty-trained to enroll.
3 Year Old Preschool Daily Schedule ● Pledge/Prayer then Free Play ● Circle Time ● Music and Movement ● Focus Wall Concepts - The letter, color, number,shape and nursery rhyme for the week. ● Learning/Literacy Centers - Covers the theme of the week and focus wall concepts ● Snack ● Reading/Writing Workshop Activity – Read a story and activity related to our theme ● Free Choice Play/Outside Play ● Lunch/Recess ● Rest time ● Theme Extension Activity ● Learning/Literacy Centers Continued ● Dismissal
4 Year Old Preschool Theme Extensions
● Musical Mondays - Children will be introduced to music theory concepts including: fast vs. slow (tempo), loud vs. soft (dynamics), rhythm (keeping steady beat), quarter note, half note, whole note and rest. We will also study a composer each month during this time. ● Technology Tuesdays – S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Hands-on activities will be planned with theme related science experiments which encourage observation, exploration, and hypothesizing) ● Wacky Wednesdays – Our creative “juices” will be flowing to concoct crazy recipes related to our themes for weekly cooking fun! ● Tactile Thursdays – Each week we will study a different art style and the children will create their own masterpieces. We will also study a specific artist each month. ● Friendship Fridays – We will offer social exploration and learning centers to practice social skills and give an opportunity for free choice time. We will also “blend” with our Pre-K 3 friends each week during this time.
